Description

The sensor is based on the Doppler effect and is designed to detect the movement of any objects that reflect radio waves. The sensor can be hidden under any materials that are transparent to radio waves, such as wood, plastic, glass, fabric, paper, etc. In this case, the sensitivity of the sensor will be slightly lower.

The sensor is made in a metal case for installation in a mounting hole with a diameter of 60 mm and a depth of 22 mm.

Installation.

The sensor can be installed in a mounting hole with a diameter of 60 mm and a depth of at least 22 mm. The optimal installation option is with frontal movement to the plane of the sensor (option 1 in Figure 2)

The sensor can also be installed on the side surface or wall, but in this case, you should take into account some delay in detecting the movement of objects and move the sensor in front of the first step at least 40 cm. In this case, the sensor will have time to detect movement and turn on the first step. Otherwise, the backlight will turn on a little later.

Settings.

On the back of the sensor there is a multi-turn adjustable resistor, which allows you to adjust the sensor response distance from 0 to 500 centimeters or more. The resistor allows you to make 30 full adjustment turns. Rotate the resistor in the direction of the arrow "+" or "-" to increase or decrease the required distance. Please note that the high signal time is 2 seconds (+-30%), then after a delay of 2 seconds, the trigger is reset and is ready for operation again. Therefore, do not forget to wait 4-5 seconds after adjustment before re-adjusting the required distance. Adjustment accuracy +-50 cm.

Since the sensor's directional pattern (Fig. 1) is not symmetrical, you can also rotate it around its axis to achieve the optimal position for your stairs.
